An election is the manifestation of people’s sovereignty, as well as what concretizes participations of citizens in a democratic process that guarantees their sovereign control of determining who becomes public officials. As the ultimate holder of a nation’s sovereignty, the people should be an active subject in an election, including taking an active part to guard electoral integrity through monitoring.
Furthermore, Bawaslu continues to establish its reputation as a community center for citizens that feels as comfortable as being at home. Bawaslu aims to be the information stronghold that provides any needed information about democracy, election, and electoral monitoring. Therefore, we envision the need to establish an information-sharing platform. Besides providing education for voters, the platform would also be Bawaslu’s way to be a community center
